The Safety Reporting Portal Web site makes extensive use of popup windows . If popup blocking is enabled on your browser , you must disable it completely, or enter an exception for the Portal Web site. Instructions for handling pop-ups for Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, and Apple Safari are provided below:
To turn Pop-up Blocker on or off:
In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Pop-up Blocker.
Do one of the following:
To turn off Pop-up Blocker, click Turn Off Pop-up Blocker.
To turn on Pop-up Blocker, click Turn On Pop-up Blocker.
By default, Internet Explorer displays pop-ups that appear as a result of your clicking a link or button. Pop-up Blocker blocks pop-ups that are displayed automatically (without you clicking a link or button).
If you want to allow a specific Web site to display automatic pop-ups, follow these steps:
In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, click Pop-up Blocker, and then click Pop-up Blocker Settings.
In the Address of Website to Allow box, type the address (or URL ) of the Web site for which you want to see pop-ups, and then click Add.
Repeat step 2 for every Web site you want to allow pop-ups from. When you are finished, click Close.
Popup Blocker Options are located in the Content panel of Tools > Options. From there, you can do the following things:
Block pop-up windows: Deselect this option to disable the popup blocker altogether.
Exceptions dialog: This is a list of sites that you want to allow to display pop-ups. The dialog has the following choices:
Allow: Click this to add a Web site to the exceptions list
Remove Site: Click this to remove a Web site from the exceptions list
Remove All Sites: Click this to remove all of the Web sites in the exceptions list
Popup Blocker Options are located on Content settings panel of Chrome menu > Settings > Show advanced settings. Google Chrome, by default, prevents pop-ups from automatically appearing.
To allow all pop-ups:
Click the Chrome menu.
Select Settings.
Click Show advanced settings.
Go to “Privacy” section and click Content settings.
Go to “Pop-ups” section and select Allow all sites to show pop-ups.
Click Done.
To allow pop-ups from selected sites:
Click the Chrome menu
Select Settings
Click Show advanced settings
Go to “Privacy” section and click Content settings
Go to “Pop-ups” section and select Do not allow any site to show pop-ups (recommended)
Click Manage Exceptions
Using the Pop-up exceptions panel add or remove the hostname or the IP address patterns
Select Allow or Block from drop down the behavior for the site, domain or IP address
Click Done.
To block pop-up windows, choose Block Pop-up Windows from the Safari menu so that a check mark appears next to it.
You can also choose Preferences from the Safari menu and click Security. Then select the Block pop-up windows check box.
